When it comes to managing wealth of our clients, we have a very disciplined approach right from the start.
We call it the 'Six Pillar Approach'.
~ We start off with ‘Discovery and Insights’. We work very hard to understand our clients in order to define their goals as clearly as we possibly can! So, naturally, we spend a lot of time with them in meeting after meeting, to ask lots of questions and to listen actively. Our experience tells us that the better we do this step, the better we perform!
~ Next comes ‘Asset Allocation’. This is where we define the optimal allocation process across and within asset classes. The world is constantly changing. As is the stage of life, financial goals and risk-tolerance of our clients. It is our job to align all this and to keep it aligned at all times and we do it very well. Being an independent wealth management firm and not being a part of a large bank, we are in an advantageous position to be objective in our approach and we use it to the fullest extent possible. Basically, this means every step we take is fully in the interest of our client. Our work here is based on very robust research capability, whether it is strategic outlook, tactical moves or opportunistic plays.
~ The third pillar is ‘Structural Analysis’. We analyse the portfolio structure of our clients for unrealised opportunities. Often, we find that clients are either not getting as much benefit as they should or what is even more often the case, are paying way too much compared to what they should be paying in terms of costs. This is where we come in to help manage the situation better on behalf of our clients.
~ The fourth pillar is 'Asset Location’. Here we align asset classes with individual entities to integrate investments with planning. We strongly believe in the saying ‘Location, Location, Location’!! Wealth placed in the wrong asset class or the wrong investment can result in destruction of value while carefully thought through decisions can mean much better returns. The following aspects become crucial -
Careful diligence is applied to each of these factors to ensure thought through decision making.
~ The fifth pillar is that of ‘Implementation’. This is where we confirm and execute the plan. That is it!!
~ The sixth and final pillar is ‘Active Management’. As it states, from here we proactively start managing the strategy for the client. Regular monitoring and feedback is an activity that is crucial to this step and it loops all the steps mentioned above on an ongoing basis!!
